What I'm Loving Wednesday

This week I'm loving...

"Overnight oats". Recipe found here. What I like best is the versatility and how easy it is. Plus, I can make them the night before which is awesome, cause lets face it...I am not a morning person.

My new vitamins. I had been having low energy and these vitamins are helping! Plus, they don't make my stomach hurt like most and they don't have weird fillers.

Work ice cream social for the dogs. I mean, how cute?!

My dad. This is a pic from Father's Day at his favorite place, Ted Drewes!

My new pedometer. Do you know how hard it is to get in 10000 steps when you have a desk job? I'll tell you, very hard.

My core group, lovingly named "the Remix." It's basically a bible study group from church. We have the best group and I've learned so much from them!!

And Im loving these random sayings/quotes.

Have a great Wednesday!

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Where have I been?

Heck I don't even know. Life has been busy, yet no different than before. So I don't really know where I spend my time...but obviously it has not been spent blogging.

My cousin mentioned the other day that I should start blogging again. And I agreed. So here I am.

This past weekend was the 15th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. My sister has participated the past few years and asked me to do it this year and I said yes! Although this organization has received some flack over the past months, I still think it's a great fundraising event. All of the breast cancer survivors wear pink shirts. It's amazing to see all of the survivors and it's so touching to see how family and friends come together to support their loved ones. If you haven't done it before, I highly suggest going at least once!

My sister and me before the race.

We did this race in honor of the mother of my bestest friend and roommate, Katie. She is a survivor and an inspiration to us. It seems like everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer. I can't wait until a cure is found!

They had fun things along the way, like bands, cheerleaders, and the awesome bubblebus!
Look at all of those people!! Amazing.

All of the survivors received a rose when they crossed the finish line.

Overall we had a great day.

But, I can't wait until this race has no need for existing.
